Music in Early Childhood

 

Early childhood educators embrace the inclusion of music into their curriculum and have began to rationalise its use due to the extramusical benefits exhibited in the areas of social, emotional, cognitive, motor, affective and creative development (Feierabend, 2010). There are a many ways to incorporate music into the curriculum to achieve these developments.
