The drama environment

 

The drama environment was designed quite similarly to both the dance and music environments, but with a combination of all three. The smart board at the front of the classroom will once again be utilised to show the children elements of drama, chapters of movies to relay drama and for the children to discuss what they think they know and understand about drama before and after the experience. The incorporation of a dramatic play corner will be constructed, and given a antarctic theme to represent the final continent of Antarctica. The mini stage will remain for the children to perform plays or re-enactments of watched movies. A table will be present on the side wall of class where children can create, design and decorate their own animal masks that represent the animals of Antarctica, as well as a face painting station in the middle of the room. Features such as mirrors, microphones and pictures of Antarctica will decorate the classroom, creating a Antarctic themed dramatised environment.
